Elros just doesn't know how much his death hurt Elrond. He won't, either, as long as Elrond can keep it from him. But part of him just relaxes as he leans against his brother, hands buried in cloth and hair and just holding on to the other half of his fea.
I have missed you. That much, he'll admit. Because he can feel it from his brother, too.
